Being a member of the Slater family hasn’t been easy recently, and with further drama ready to erupt next week in EastEnders, it seems as though Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) has had enough.

With Zoe Slater’s (Michelle Ryan) return bringing nothing but sheer carnage and recently resulting in a hostage situation, in which her daughter, Stacey (Lacey Turner) was put in mortal danger, Jean has had it to the back teeth of Zoe.

She’s even further rattled when Stacey announces her intention to move to Brazil to live with brother Sean (Rob Kazinsky) with the kids and help him run his restaurant.

Though Lily (Lillia Turner) was also set to join her mum, upon informing Ricky Branning (Charlie Day), the father of her baby, Charli, of her decision, she ultimately decided to stay put.

Though Stacey tries her best to convince Lily that the move would be good for all of them, Jean’s also trying to convince Stacey to stay.

Backed up by Zoe, it seems as though none of the Slaters want Stacey to go, though she does find support in Eve Panesar-Unwin (Heather Peace).

Unwilling to leave without her daughter, Stacey ultimately announces she’s decided to stay, though Lily is determined that she’s making a mistake.

As yet more calamity hits the square in the form of Max Branning (Jake Wood) making his return after a long absence, Stacey is left utterly reeling by the re-emergence of her former lover.
