Hollyoaks’ Jorgie Porter says she ‘can’t be sexy’ anymore after having children
Jorgie Porter is struggling to ‘be sexy’ for her Hollyoaks role after adjusting to life as a mother. The actress, 37, has played Theresa McQueen on the Channel 4 soap since 2008 but things have changed so much in her home life over the years that she has to ‘find’ that side of her somewhere when she is on set

The soap star is has two children with her fiancé Ollie Piotrowski – Forest, two, and daughter Peony, who was born in December last year, and she recently returned to work after a period of maternity leave. She said: “I feel so lucky to have been asked to do this one but trying to be sexy again feels so weird! When you’re at home with no make up on and your hair is a mess and all of a sudden, I have got to switch to ‘Sexy Theresa.’
“I was flirting in the latest episode with Danny and I was like: “What do I do?” I’ve got to find it and get that back somehow. How do I be sexy again? I can’t just be sexy!”

Jorgie was nominated for Sexiest Female throughout the late 2000s at the British Soap Awards, although she lost out to former Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan every year until it was made defunct in 2014.
However, she was named Hottest Female Soap Star by FHM in 2012, and joked that it is just ‘funny’ how things have changed now, although she does not feel any need to head back to the gym any time soon.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, she added: “Someone said I was voted one of the sexiest women at one time, but now? It is really funny when you are being a parent doing baby life! Why would I go to they gym at the moment – because at home I’ve got my two heavy weights already. I am older now so I’m like: ‘My back hurts! Why does my back hurt?’ Forest was demanding to be lifted the whole time I was pregnant. Obviously, I was on edge. But I am so strong now!”
When asked how she’s finding the new phase of motherhood, Jorgie told Mirror at the launch of the Pro Am Padel tour: “It’s hard. Nobody tells you that it’s the hardest thing in the world because you’ve got a toddler that wants all your attention and you’ve, obviously, got a little baby that’s attached to you, literally that is another level of mum-ness. It is hard. We’re in the trenches, this is the trenches we’re deep in there.“
Juggling two children is tricky for a number of reasons, but Jorgie revealed that she did find her son Forest’s jealousy particularly difficult – but is making slow progress helping her eldest adjust to the new family dynamic. She excplained: “Honestly, it’s great but I think there’s jealousy bits when the toddler is like, ‘you’re my mummy, get off this one, put her in the carseat’, like, ‘No Forest, we’re cuddling her’.
“It’s tricky because he can’t understand that I’m her Mummy, too. But he does know, it’s weird. It’s very hard to navigate. It’s going there, it’s brilliant. I think there’s everyday you go, ‘Oh that’s a win, that’s brilliant, we’re out together in a pram, we did it’. So it is going well.”
The couple announced their engagement in December 2021 but are yet to walk down the aisle.
When asked if there are any wedding plans, Jorgie jokes about her lengthy engagement. “How long? Four years I think! I didn’t plan this,” she quipped
