“The Bold and the Beautiful” star Ashley Jones has confirmed that her character, Bridget Forrester, will return to the canvas this October.

Bridget was last seen in July, when Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) was caught up in his supposed dying storyline. At the time, Jones’ character had very few scenes and didn’t really play a huge part in the plot.

But this time around, fans can expect to see more of Bridget as she gets more airtime.

“I’m coming back in October,” Jones told Soap Opera Network. “And yeah, you’re going to see me do something I haven’t done before, interact with some people I haven’t worked with before.”

Upon her return, Bridget will likely find herself back in the hospital, working closely with Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan). “The Bold and the Beautiful” fans have long wondered if the doctors could have a potential storyline other than saving lives.

In the same interview, Jones admitted that she’s come across some interesting fan ideas for Bridget and Finn.

“I sound like a broken record saying this. I could throw out so many fun ideas that fans have floated, and when I’m on set, I’m like, ‘Oh, this could be fun. Oh, we have chemistry!’” the actress told the outlet.

Jones acknowledged that Bridget and Finn work so well together, so there’s definitely something there.

“I think it’s an obvious choice for Bridget and Finn to have something, and they work so well,” Jones added. “We work so well together, we could figure it out.”

And while she knows that Finn is happily married with his wife, Steffy Forrester, she’s not closing any doors to a potential romance if given the chance.

“And it doesn’t always have to be romantic, although I wouldn’t mind that either, because Bridget hasn’t had a romance in quite a while,” the actress admitted. “We wonder, like, ‘What does she do outside the hospital?’ There are a lot of little avenues that she could take. The bottom line is, if they write it, I will be there as long as I’m available.”

Jones also expressed gratitude to executive producer and head writer Brad Bell for continuing to bring Bridget back to the canvas whenever there’s a chance. “The Bold and the Beautiful” star added that she “trusts his instincts immensely.”

“I’ve been grateful that he brings Bridget back on the canvas so often,” Jones told the outlet. “As he sees fit, I will be there.”
