s Carl Webster could be set for another shock affair on the cobbles – and it’s with someone unexpected.

Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) earlier this year, as the estranged brother of Kevin (Michael Le Vell) and Debbie (Sue Devaney).

‌After living in Germany for several years, Carl showed up in a bid to support Kevin, following his testicular cancer diagnosis.

However, it didn’t take long for Carl to cause some drama on the famous cobbles as Kevin’s wife Abi (Sally Carman) ended up , despite him being her brother-in-law.

Abi tried to fight her feelings, but the pair eventually gave in to temptation and have been secretly seeing each other. But what Abi doesn’t know, is that (Jason Callender).

In a huge twist, the pair ended up enjoying some afternoon delight at a hotel, after Carl and James enjoyed some heavy flirting at the Rovers Return earlier on.

As well as his romantic endeavours, Carl has also been taking part in dodgy MOT dealing and also a car-stealing scheme. He’s even enlisted the help of Brody (Ryan Mulvey) and Dylan (Liam McCheyne) to help with his scam.

But it seems another fling for Carl. Spoilers for next week, have confirmed that Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) starts to suspect Carl and warns that he intends to keep a close eye on him.

Later on, Kit is left even more curious when he finds Carl with criminal Fiona and heads over to ask him about how they know each other.

Now, viewers reckon it’s only a matter of time better Carl and Kit strike up a romance. On a Corrie Facebook fan page, alongside a photo of Carl and Kit, one person wrote: “Carl and Kit romance looming.”

Another chimed in: “It’s finally happening!” A third also wrote: “Why not, Carl’s been with half the street by now!” A fourth declared: “Finally getting my wish!”
